Translating and Interpreting for the Global Community
Since our founding in 1984, Schreiber Translations, Inc. (STI) has participated in many service activities to support both the global population, and the local neighborhood in which we live and work, which is one of the most ethnically and linguistically diverse in the country.
The STI reach is truly global as we work on a daily basis with translators, interpreters, and clients located throughout the world. STI has an effect on the global community by proving linguistic expertise in over 120 languages to companies and individuals worldwide. In our local community, STI has an impact as a business, an employer and a corporate citizen.
STI has corporate philanthropy as a main component of our Strategic Plan, and we encourage our employees’ community service through the STI CARES program. With this program, we focus our efforts into three joint ventures: a company sponsored day of service, quarterly projects coordinated by STI staff, and individual employee driven projects.
Among some of the causes we support through the donation of services, monetary contributions and the time of our employees and staff include:
International Rescue Committee
Habitat for Humanity
Translators Without Borders
A Wider Circle
Montgomery County Humane Society
The ARC of Montgomery County (Maryland)
The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation
Jewish Council for the Aging of Greater Washington, Inc.
Manna Food Center
The Children’s Inn at NIH (National Institutes of Health)
American Red Cross
Charles E. Smith Life Communities
