Linguists are the key to language services. STI's pool of a few thousand translators and interpreters represent the best in the business. All have a minimum of five years experience translating and/or interpreting in their language pair and subject area. More than half have over twenty years of translation and/or interpretation experience. Almost all hold a Master's degree, and more than 20 percent have doctorate degrees. New translators and interpreters are added to our active pool only once their credentials have been carefully reviewed, all of their capabilities have been carefully analyzed and they have been tested by our senior editors.
One of the biggest factors of our success, in addition to our exhaustive screening and testing process for translators and interpreters, is that we view our association with our linguists as relationships. We take pains not to overload any one translator or interpreter and we have a firm policy to pay all of our linguists on time. Rather than handing a translation off to a translator and forgetting about it until the deadline, our project managers and our editors remain closely involved in the translation process. Rather than setting an interpreter up with a time and date and doing nothing further, our project managers do everything possible to make sure that the interpreter is as prepared as he/she can be.
All work is reviewed by our team of expert editors and production personnel, once it has been completed by the initial translator. Our editing staff ensures that the translations are complete, technically accurate and free of all grammatical or idiomatic errors. The production staff ensures that all formatting and layout specifications are handled correctly, so that the final delivered product meets your exact specifications. Our editing and production staffs are expert at ensuring high-quality translations within tight deadlines; indeed they currently handle an average of roughly 150 translation assignments each week.
