An Introduction to STI

Established in 1984, STI has been one of the nation’s leading language service providers for more than 30 years. We are a small, woman-owned business, serving more than 500 clients, including numerous Federal and State government agencies, non-profit organizations and private sector corporations.

Our vast pool of more than 1,800 accredited and certified linguists, represent the best in the business, which means we deliver reliable language services – on time, every time! Most of our translators and interpreters have been working for with us for more than 10 years, and all new linguists are carefully screened and tested. Additionally, many of our linguists hold advanced degrees in linguistics and/or specific technical fields, and all are subject matter experts in highly-specialized subject areas, from law and medicine to life sciences and engineering.

STI specializes in highly technical translation, interpreting, multilingual desktop publishing (DTP), website and software localization services, and multilingual staffing services in more than 120 languages and dialects.

STI is also a corporate member of the American Translators Association (ATA); Association of Language Companies (ALC), for which STI's President, Marla Schulman, previously served as President; National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC), National Association of Judiciary Interpreters & Translators (NAJIT) and ASTM International. We are also one of the first language companies to have been awarded a GSA contract with the federal government.
